Who We Are
Couples for Christ (CFC) is a movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life. The members have committed themselves to the Lord and to one another so that they may grow in maturity as men and women of God and fulfill their primary vocation of raising families under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and for the service of the Kingdom of God.
Couples for Christ establishes Christian families committed to the work of evangelization, winning the world for Christ and Total Human Liberation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
On the 25th of April 2005, the Pontifical Council of the Laity, after due evaluation, granted Couples For Christ permanent and definitive recognition as a private international association of the faithful.

Couples for Christ (Australia) Oceania Mission Ltd.
The CFC (Australia) Oceania Mission Ltd. is a lay Catholic community comprising of couples and their families, kids, youth, singles, and matured men and women. We serve in the parishes and in the diocese. Couples For Christ in Australia was established in 1988 in Sydney and is a member of the world wide ministry of Couples for Christ Global Mission Incorporated based in Manila, Philippines which is recognised as a Private Association of Christian Faithful with Pontifical right.
Where and How did CFC Begin?
CFC began in 1981 in Manila. Philippines, when Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon (Joy in the Lord) a covenanted Christian charismatic community. realized that to effectively renew society a conversion of both spouses. and consequently families, to Christ was necessary.
The method used consisted of bringing together a small group of prospective couples in a private home. There they were brought to a living relationship with Jesus Christ and to renewal in the power of the Holy Spirit through a series of weekly informal discussions of the gospel in a social environment. Beginning from the first 16 couples who joined the weekly gathering, CFC became a Christian f amity life renewal which was later made available to parishes and groups of married couples who wished to live out their Christian life in an active supportive relationship with one another.
The growth of CFC stemmed from its heart for mission and evangelization and its commitment to sharing God’s love with others, beginning from the basic unit – the family. It did not take long for CFC to realize that while a couple renewal was CFC to realize that while a couple renewal was essential. it would be incomplete without family renewal.

Our Work with the Poor program
CFC ANCOP Australia Ltd. – ANCOP is an acronym for Answering the Cry of the Poor. It works through a sponsorship Program which has continuously provided free education, housing, and conducted livelihood programs in poor communities in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands so far.
